Prof. Paulino was awarded the 2020 JN Reddy Medal "for pioneering contributions to theoretical and computational mechanics leading to advances in mimetic inspired methods (Virtual Element Method, VEM), topology optimization, and geometric mechanics associated to origami engineering including configurational metamaterials and reconfigurable structural systems." The medal will be awarded at the banquet of the 3rd International Conference on Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures at Texas A&M University, College Station, on March 27, 2021.
