Prof. Paulino was awarded the Daniel C. Drucker Medal for "pioneering contributions to the field of mechanics, particularly advances in geometric mechanics associated with origami and tensegrity engineering that lead to the creation of multifunctional structures and configurational metamaterials with unprecedented properties."
